I've decided that I'm not going to cover the next 3 lessons(13, 14 and 15). They contain platform specific code, and I'm not into that kind of stuff. The lesson 17 contains a way to show text in a platform independent way for those that want to see text in an OpenGL application.

Yes, I could. Maybe I will someday, but at the moment it's too much trouble to get the code working on three different platforms. (And two different compilers)
If someone wants to do them, then I can host them here. That's no problem for me.
:[ darn. I was really hoping I could view these lessons in an SDL context.
At least the lesson 13 has a linux/SDL port. You could use that as a starting point.
